Just curious, why is Ben the only one that runs leagues at a faster pace (5 sims or more per week)?

There seem to be quite a few leagues running 2-3 games per week but only a couple 5 sims per week leagues.

Dont take this as a complaint, I'm really just curious as to the reasoning.

A lot of people fear change. 2 or 3 gamedays per week was the norm back in 2003 when FOF MP started, and most people stayed there. Over time, I realized that I'm far more interested in roster-building, drafting, who's gonna be my next QB in 5 years, etc.--the long-term stuff--than the boring game-to-game grind, so I started a faster-paced league, and the concept seemed to work very well. Now I commish four faster-paced leagues. I've had *far* more people say "I didn't think I'd like the faster pace, but it turns out that I love it" than who've said "I can't keep up with the faster pace."

There's probably also a time factor. I've created some automation around simming processes that allows me--when I'm focused and not multi-tasking during sim time--to complete sims for four leagues in 20-25 minutes. (And really, the reason that I'm often *not* that focused is that most of that time isn't me actually doing anything--just waiting. It takes 1-2 minutes for the appropriate csvs to upload, 2-4 minutes for the database to update, 1-2 minutes for the SoleHtml to generate, etc. So I end up doing completely unrelated stuff while waiting on that stuff to finish.)

It's different styles. I am more interested in the long term stuff, but in the leagues I'm in, I like digging into the minutiae and preparing game by game. 3 games is a comfortable pace for me. But I think there are leagues to fit every style.

I prefer 2. Makes game day more special I think. Something to look forward to. GMs have time to discuss each game, gameplan and write articles. I find the more time I spend on a plan the more I care about the game, and therefore the league in general.

If it were brought up in RNFL, I would certainly entertain it - but no one has asked about upping the number of game days per week.

If I had as much automation and fun toys as Ben, I'd probably push it more since it would be that much less time for me to do it every day!
