I Changed A Light Bulb!

Yes, start your jokes. I have track lighting in my kitchen. The bulb has two prong and the ends are wide to hold it in place.
6 months ago the bulb went out. I bought a new one and tried changing it.the stupid thing would not come out. I was on a ladder and working below it. And it was just refusing to come out. I got frustrated and quit. Stupid bulb.
I decided to attempt it again today. I wasn't letting that bulb defeat me. No sir.
I went on line and researched. Yes, I went online and researched how to change a bulb.
10 minutes later, the bulb was changed.

I Won, stupid bulb. You can't stop me.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I had the same problem with track lighting and I ended up doing exactly as you. I found a video on how to use tape to get a better grip to get the bulb out.

I'm not handy at all. And that's understating it.

Hah! I've never dealt with track lightning, but a few weeks ago I replaced the kitchen faucet all by myself (with lots of help from youtube).

I actually asked my wife afterwards how in the world our parents ever survived without having youtube to figure out how to do everything!

(I know, I know, my dad had all kinds of various manuals for different things)

I was happy when I replaced light switches recently without electrocuting myself, if that counts.

Was going to tackle the light switch in the ceiling fan that wasn't working. Then I saw the spaghetti of wires in there and backed off (for now).

When I do that kinda stuff I unscrew the cover, take pictures of everything for reference, then I turn off the main, take the thing needing replaced to Lowe's, and buy something identical. Reference photos are your best friend

Q: How many FOFCers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: One, but if it's tarcone it may take six months.
