questions about team spirit
1. Am i correct in saying that cup games/friendlies have NO affect on team spirit? Even if i play "Match of the Season" or "Play it Cool," it won't affect anything?
2. Does your team spirit tend to level off? I played one game MOTS early in the season, and have gone all "normal" since then. My team spirit is irritated - will it eventually drop back down to something more normal? 3. Does selling/buying players also affect team spirit? 4. How much would a strong leader affect the team? I currently have no-one with better than "weak" leadership.

1) By cup, do you mean the US Open Cup or FOFC Cup? TS, MOTS, PIC most certainly do mean something for the former, but not the latter (since they're really "friendlies").
2) TS will gravitate toward "calm" on its own, but I'd give it a little push (i.e. PIC a league game) sometime soon. 3) Depends on the player -- if you sell a popular one or buy a nasty one TS MAY drop, but its never more than 1 level and it doesn't happen every time. (I'd guess 1/2 a level about 1/2 the time, so about 1/4 level on average). 4) Not sure really -- I would try to get someone agreeable (i.e. sympathetic or popular) with leadership of at least passable. Most vets tend to think the affect is small. edit:sp

I meant US Open cup. So does MOTS or PIC for a cup match make a difference while friendlies do not? |

Man, my MOTS dropped my Spirit to 'Furious'...I wish I had more money, and I'd fire my coach. But giving up a Passable coach just to fix team spirit doesn't seem like a good idea. At least my next two games are against the last place team in our series; I can PIC both of them. What should I hope to get my team spirit to with two consecutive PICs?

At most 4 levels better than it is now, at worst 2 better, TS seems to drop by one during the week following the + 2 bonus for PIC'ing. So I'd guess + 3 on average.

Re: questions about team spirit

There are two leaders that comes into play. The team leader is based on agreeability and leadership. That can have an effect on your team spirit. The player with the highest level take this role. The other leader is the team captain. The important factor is experience and leadership. The captain can help your team get through a game where they're not familiar with the formation. Seems like anything under 'solid', you have a decent chance of having your team be confused with it. |
