Grammar Help
So I have written a report that provides detailed technical analysis and discussion regarding a series of test results. A key part of the closure is that the results need to be used with caution. The client would like me to include a statement with the report that discusses that since the results need to be used with caution this is why design parameters were obtained from other sources.
I don't think that it really works as an extra section or paragraph. I think that the discussion is best had up front. My problem is I don't really know what to call the section, I don't think it's a Foreword or Executive Summary. I was think Preface but I'm not totally sold. Help? |

It's not a foreword (typically written by another person), it's more of a preface. If you prefer the term "Author's Note" I think that would work here as well.

Is "Disclaimer" too strong?

I was thinking preface or Letter of Transmission. Author's Note is interesting, I'll have to think about that one. |

I like QS's suggestion to use "Author's Note" in this scenario.

I like Author's Note as well depending on what could go wrong. If it's potentially life and death dangerous, I'd prefer Disclaimer.
Alternatively I like Advisory as well if replication of your tests could be uncertain or costly, but not life-threatening. |
