SGN server has been down for a little over a day, I think. Anyone know what's up? Thanks!

King was gonna postpone the sim until Friday, but now that seems a little ambitious.

Hey guys this is Andrew from SGN. The server our site is hosted on is obviously having some issues. We were told it would be back up around 3am ET but that has come and gone with no progress.

Unfortunately our host, who used to be very reliable, was bought out by a company notorious for these types of issues. We'll be migrating to a new host as soon as we can after they get things back up and running.

Just hope we don't lot a lot of members during this time, with them thinking league does not exist anymore.

Appreciate the update, very much!

Yeah, there's a status page now: https://status.site5.com/

Looks like a bunch of things happened on their end. I'm glad that's all it is!

Their updates aren't very frequent or informative but this is our specific server if you want to check the status:

The import directory doesn't exist, so that could be a concern.

The status page currently still reads "in progress", which is interesting. I guess we're not totally back up yet.

Given the FTP and other assorted issues we're experiencing I'm going to ask our new host to kick off the migration ASAP. The forums may be down during this time.

The SGN forums are up and running on the new host so if you can see them it means you're good. If you still see a maintenance message it means your ISP's DNS hasn't updated yet. This process can take up to 48 hours to propagate across the internet although it's usually much faster.

I can FTP in, but there's no "import" folder. What might be the issue there? There was also a "repo" folder -- it looks like some of the files are just lost at the moment.

I don't see an import folder on the old host either so it may not have been restored. There may also be some permissions issues as I needed to change permissions to get the forums back online. I'm ignorant to exactly what the OSFL needs so if you want to PM me I can try to re-create anything that's missing.

Oh, hm. Did they just lose data, then? If that's the case, I can go in and recreate some folders. I'm not sure exactly what the structure is, but if the data is unrecoverable I suppose there's nothing to do.

I'm not sure to be honest. I can't even get a response from their support. I just downloaded an old backup which looks like it has the folders you mentioned. I will upload those to the new host.
