Did i screw up??

As i have said before i am in a bitch of a D4 league in canada.I havent won a game yet this season even though my team is putting up better numbers than ever before. As a matter of fact i think i have only scored 3 goals or so all season.

So as it appears that relegation is inevidable for my team i am doing a rebuilding of sorts....

I put this defender up at what i thought was an outrageous price for him...but it appears as though i was wrong since someone has already bid on him.

Daniel Lambert (6673442)
21 years, solid form, healthy

A sympathetic guy who is balanced and honest.
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities.

Speciality: Powerful

Nationality: Canada
Assessed value: 228 000 C$
Wage: 2 060 C$/week
Owner: Bbors
Warnings: 0

Stamina: inadequate Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: weak
Winger: wretched Defending: excellent
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: poor

Career Goals: 2
Career Hattricks: 0
League goals this season: 0
Cup goals this season: 1

I listed him at $1 000 000

I have a 17 YO passable guy ready to step into his place.

Anyone have any thoughts?

$1,000,000 Canadian ($500,000 U.S.) is not a completely unreasonable price for an excellent defender. If you take a look at the Sweden market (admittedly inflated), there are a number of comparable defenders going for even more than that. Also, Lambert is only 21 years old, and is still somewhat trainable.

At worst, you have CA$1 000 000 to play with. At best, you get a nice bidding war and have far more. You have a replacement and now the tools to rebuild with. It's a GoodThing[tm].

Of course, that was in Canadian currency . . . so it was actually US$ 10 000 and US$ 3 000.
