One thing I DON'T like about this game...

And I'm sure this has been in all previous versions of the game:

When you win a championship in order for a player to get "a ring" he has to be on the active roster. This sucks because the greatest QB I've ever had outside of Dean Houston - 6 time MVP (!!) Darius Neal - got injured week 16 with a 5 week injury. I got a bye so with him sitting out week 17 he was questionable for the Conference semi-final game. I played him , we win that game and the conference final and get a trip to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately he was injured and declared out for the Super Bowl. I deactivate him and we still wind up winning. Except he doesn't get a ring because he was not active. Instead of having 3 rings he only has 2.

Not sure how it is in real life but I'm almost positive if you're on the 53 man roster you get a ring (although I'm sure that's at the discretion of ownership but I'm still sure everyone gets a ring).

The rings themselves are up to the discretion of the owner in real life, of course. Anyone on the roster, whether it be 53 or IR should have that show up in their player file in this game, sad that it doesn't.

Would the Oakland Raiders have not given Derek Carr a ring if somehow they managed to win it all?

Or Tom Brady if the Pats won it all without him if he had to miss the big game? It really sucks, FOF8 is a simple and not pretty game as-is, you have to use your imagination to bring life to basically a spreadsheet and dice roll game. So without the proper players having the proper accolades presented accurately it takes a lot of the luster off. It seems pretty much from a player perspective without the rings being awarded the game doesn't really acknowledge the player as having been on a super bowl winning team. It's different than coaches - you can see in their history what years they won a championship and what their job was (HC, coordinator, etc). You can see what years they went to the playoffs, how far they went, what the record was. You can build a good story with that info - this guy is a winner. This guy is a genius in the regular season but can never win when it matters.

Should be fixed. Most everyone, 53 man, practice squad and those who work in the building will get at least a replica, but still to the owners discretion.

If on roster "ring" = everyone
