Game Log Question
In the game logs there is a +++, --- or *** next to each player's name who is on the field for a given play.
The *** only appears next to the quarterback's name. Anyone have an idea what the --- or +++ mean? On a given play there are usually only one or two players on the offense or defense who have the "---" next to their name. An example of two players is below. LT A.Castonzo --- LG J.Mewhort +++ |

+++ means the player did his job on the given play. --- means the player failed in his duties. Sometimes a guy can get a --- and the play was still good for his team. Sometimes all 11 can get a +++ on defense and still give up a big play. (the offense just executed better) At the bottom of the game log it will give tallies of the good vs. the bad. |

Just focus on the ---, that mean a player did not do well on that play.
