Helmet Art

Ok, I manage to find 3D helmet art. However, I am not a graphic artist guy despite my repeated amateur efforts. I have no idea how to place a 2D art design on a three dimensional template.

Can anyone explain or point me in a direction for instructions for dummies?

Thanks

Depends on what type of template you are using and what program you are working in. Something like these?

Can I assume you are a fellow who dat?

Anyway, what I am asking is how to get a 2D art design on 3D helmet. I have serif, but I also have GIMP. I just do not know how to do it.

ps, The breakers helmet looks sweet... I remember going to the games when they were in NOLA. Really, are of them are sweet. Do you do the logos yourself?

Thanks

You have to mess around and skew and alter the perspective of the graphic until it fits the contours of the template. Some hit and miss until you get it where you want.

Logos, no, I did do that Breakers but usually use those that exist. Now I will alter them to fix what ever I am doing, color scheme or add or delete a few elements where necessary.

Oh, and as for being a Who Dat...... I was in the 4th grade in '67 living close to Tulane stadium and helped my parents park cars in a lot on the end of the street when the games were in town. So I was a Who Dat before there ever was a Who Dat.

Oh I see. I take another crack at it.

I was born in '69, so I couldn't be a fan from the beginning. I have been a fan ever since I can remember. Saints games were either on TV or blaring on the radio. My "birthday gift" was whatever we wanted, mine was always going to the games. This included the 1-15 year. I was the only happy to be there. LOL

Thanks for the feedback!! Appreciated!
