Highest Debt Allowed?

Is there a maximum debt allowed for a team? Always wondered that.

Nothing greater then 500k US, you get like 3 weeks to knock it down from that, then bankruptcy.

Are there any penalties for going into debt? Is there anything you aren't allowed to do if you are in debt?

I'm thinking of revamping the stadium but it's going to knock down my profits and bring me clsoe to the red.

After 200K of debt you can no longer buy players.

You also pay 5% per week interest on any debt you have. So if you go $100,000 into debt, you're shelling out $5,000 per week in interest payments.

Hattrick must contract loan sharks to run their banks.
