Bankruptcy Sale / Need Advice

Okay, the numbers dont lie. I am spending more then Im taking in right now and sitting at 470K in the hole. At the rate im going I will be bankrupt in 1 week. So I have decided I must part with a player or two. Here is the guy I have decided to put on the market.

Ulrich Dienhart
315 000 US$, 27 years, solid form
Has weak experience and weak leadership abilities [Technical]

Stamina: solid Keeper: wretched
Playmaking: excellent Passing: wretched
Winger: inadequate Defending: inadequate
Scoring: passable Set Pieces: inadequate

Any thoughts as to what I should list him for or what I might get for him??

Actually, I have a very good idea. I just sold a solid playmaker/solid stamica/wretched playmaker/inad scorer/inad defense who was 28 years old. He was valued at $150k or so. So you're guy is probably a high excellent playmaker. Anyways, I fetched $100k for him. He was listed at $50k and a bunch of teams got in a bidding war. I'd list your guy for $100k, and hope to sell him for $200k, at least.

if you have any young prospects, put them on the market too. You're in a lousy situation.

edit: looking at your team, although I can't see him - Chris McDonough would probably fetch a nice sum. What are his skills?

have you got a passable keeper? You might be able to survive with an inadequate one and your passable one could fetch you about 150 to 200K or more...

Good luck!

I've only got 2 inad keepers, and they are putting 2 stars a game. I once had a passable and sold him back. Not worth the $100K investment.

If you are serious about getting out of debt, sell that solid and keep pulling keepers until you get a new starter...

With a little bit of searching, you should be able to find yourself a high inadequate keeper for about 10 000 - 15 000.

umm, I doubt he'll be buying anything soon since he's almost 500k in the hole..

No, I don't think he'll be buying one at 470 000 in debt. Nor would I suggest it. But if he sells his excellent playmaking midfielder and solid goalkeeper as was suggested, he MAY get sufficiently under 200 000 in debt that he may be able to grab a high inadequate to replace his solid goalkeeper. That should at least allow him to be in decent shape to remain somewhat competitive while trying to get back into good financial situations.

Well, I put my excellent midfielder and sold keeper on the transfer wire. Started the keeper at 150K and the Mid at 250K.
I am happy to report that after a few hours someone has already matched the starting bid the the midfielder.

It looks like the team is saved !!! ( for now )

Just an update....there is a bidding war going on for my midfielder.

So far he's up to $459,000. A divIII and IV team are going back and forth on bidding on him. Oh man I cant wait to get that cash tommorow!!! Someone put in a 150K bid on my solid keeper, Im thinking about buying him off the market since my mid is going for so high.

No, dont waste the cash buying him back, just wait for a new pull...Its bad financial mistakes that got you in the hole in the first place

As Airhog said, let him go and enjoy being back in the good graces of the Hattrick Financial Gods. Between the two of them, you should most certainly be well into the black. Even more so if you aren't in danger of promoting and need good performance from your keepers to stay on the winning side. As I said before, you can snag yourself a mid- to high-inadequate for not much more than 10 000 to keep the spot warm until you get the youth pull that Airhog mentioned.

Congratulations and enjoy it. Now spend carefully!

let the goalie go!

If you really want a passable keeper, i'm selling one who finishes tomorrow and starts at under 100K (4815421).

Or you could also just pick up an inadequate of the market and get out of debt!

congrats on the sale of your midfielder though, looks like you got help right when you needed it!
