Excel/Steam

Hello Guys,

I'm brand new to the forums but have been playing FOF8 SP for a couple of months now trying to get the Browns back on top. I know that you can export data out of the game but unfortunatly I can't find where those files are placed. I bought the game through Steam. Can someone explain where to find the files?

And a second question regarding exporting the data. Can you view your current roster in an Excel sheet? Because I'm fairly new to the game I have trouble keeping track or comparing the player to each other.

Greetings,

Tabula Rasa

Greetings,

You can open both players windows in FOF8 which is a huge improvement over FOF7.

You can find the exported csv files in your user folders, typical a path such as:

C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Local\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Eight\leaguedata\{League Name}

There is a lot of data. And the csv files have fairly obvious names (player_record, player_rating, etc.). Be advised the player_information csv contains the player names. The other files reference a player_id column. You would need to use an Excel VLOOKUP or other database query tools to join statistical data with player names.

Also, check out some great tools to assist with analyzing draft classes and tracking player ratings changes.
