Fixing Defense: Controlling the Blitz

What if Jim just used the old fof7 Blitzing pattern screen, we set the percentages and the system would blitz based off that, instead of the current 'free for all' style.

All the blitz's would default to the WLB if that person isn't in the formation and was picked to blitz. This would prevent my top corner from blitzing or the dreaded double corner blitz, when both starting corners blitz at the same time.

What do you guys think and do you have any other ideas about controlling the blitz.

Being able to create and control the defense as we control the offense now would be awesome, I guess it won't be too difficult to code as Jim has the offense already like that.

Nah Shark, you misread the post. I said what if Jim just implemented the FOF7 blitz pattern screen, to fix the FOF8 "free for all' blitzing style.

I don't even remember FOF7 blitz options anymore. Whatever give us more control I am down for it!

In an ideal world it'd be separate for each personnel grouping but I think everyone would agree it would be better even with just 1 setting.

I have to disagree with this, from a coaching point of view is much better to actually decide what defense and covers you want to run in different situations as it stands now.

However more control with who is blitzing is more than necessary.

And obviously is the bug in the last 2 minutes of each part...

This is the screen I'm talking about shark, I'd love for Jim to add this back in. We could finally control the blitz again.

I would add a simple feauture of who we want to blitz in certain formations and situations as we have the covers now. But enhanced so we can choose our specialists.
