Lubbock, TX suggestions
Just got hired by Texas Tech, starting in 2 weeks. Looking for suggestions on neighborhoods and the like. Got some ideas already, but if anyone has firsthand experience with the area I'd love to hear it.

Yeah, figured it was a slim chance since Lubbock is fairly small (315k MSA). My initial research plus feedback from my boss and coworkers says I had the right areas targeted anyways.
Pretty ridiculous prices there. One place I'm looking at has a 1300 square foot, 2 bedroom place for just under $1100/mo with linens (bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom), fiber internet, cable, and utilities all included. Another one gives you a free month for a 12 month lease, has free internet, and has a 960 square foot, 2 bedroom place for $840/mo. Those are both in the nice, newly built up part of the city within a mile or so of things like Alamo Drafthouse and Costco. |
