Well guys, I have been bored so I decided to try this game out. I got my team today and now I get to try to figure out what everything means.

Just keep in mind two bits of advice.

1) Everyone's mindset is different, so what works for one person might not work for another.

2) Debt = BAD

PS. Did I mention debt = BAD!

I play a bastard version of the run and shoot (the 4-5-1 doesn't really allow it), but I'm one of DK's disciples too (defensive trainer), odd combo huh?

Funny, I don't consider winning to be that boring.

Seriously though, welcome to Hattrick Gwalyn. Poke around this conference and check out some of the older threads. You should find a lot of useful information. Odds are, if you have a question, it has been addressed in one thread or another.

But if you can't find what you're looking for (or just don't feel like looking) then feel free to ask. We're pretty helpful (except for that blasphemer Coffee Warlord, that is. ).

Don't let these mouthbreathing 4-5-1'ers tell you differently, the fun-n-gun is the way to go.

The 3-5-2 is definitely where it's at.

I've been trying to play a 5-5-3, but it doesn't seem to recognize it.

I don't care what division you are in. Having more non-wins than wins sucks...

Yup. I thought about quitting after getting whooped 5-0 in my first match, 7-0 in my 2nd cup effort, tying a team I was better than, and losing despite a MOTS. Basically a 1 win, 3 loss, 1 draw start, can hurt your ego

That is very true. But if I had my choice, I'd rather be a losing team in Div IV than a winning team in Div V. Then again, I may change my tune if I get my wish and am promoted and suffer through a brutal season in Div IV.

It's a love/hate relationship between division II and myself. I love being in II, but I hate losing in it.

Amen to that. 3-2-2 this season thus far.
