Here are the rankings as they stand after this week's league games. I have decided to make them official as of Monday. I might post an update later on in the week to compensate for teams who got a walkover in their league game.
I'll get to the rankings in a moment, for now, some explanations... - TW stands for "This Week" - LW stand for "Last Week" - The first set of numbers (to the left of the team names) represents the relative ranking of every team. A blank in either column means that team wasn't ranked that week. - The second set of numbers (to the right of the FOFC member name) represents the rankings points scored for the last two week. - The rankings points for a given week are calculated using a weighted moving average of that week's NSI points and the score of the previous two weeks' NSI points. - "NSI points" is the sum of all your position ratings from your game report, with midfield counting as triple its value - Ratings are scored with the base value set at disastrous = 1, wretched = 2, and so on. - If your team doesn't play its game because of a walkover, your rating for the game in question will be ignored in the weighted average and the remaining ratings will be used. - "exper" stands for the number of weeks of Hattrick experience the user has, that is the date of the day minus the date he got his team, divided by 7. Below, you will find a text formatted version of the rankings, but they are available on the web, GO TO THE OFFICIAL FOFC HATTRICK RANKINGS HOME ON THE WEB Also, if you want to see who has done particularly well (or bad) this week, there's a "tops" page, on which you can also see every team's game ratings for week 19.08. Someday, there will be a link straight from the rankings page, but for now, it available only from here: WEEK 19.08 IN A NUTSHELL That's about it for me, enjoy the rankings. As always, your comments are welcome and bragging is encouraged If you have any question about my very scientific methodology, feel free to ask ![]() FrogMan Code:

edit: hmmm...got some new teams with 5395 experience. I rather doubt they've been hattricking for 100+ years. ![]()

Looks like I've settled comfortably into the top of the teens. That will change a bit next week when I do my first every MotS and should break 60. There's a pretty big gap between 6 and 8 with only Ardent splitting the difference.

Well, it feels good to be back in the top 20 again. I will be playing it cool for at least 2 more weeks so, we may slide down a little, but hopefully, not much.

Froggy . . . first and foremost, you rock. Many thanks.
Nice to see the two competitions at the top. Definitely very cool to see the Seamen inch closer and closer to the 70 mark. |

Around 50 with my A-Team PICing every game. Next two weeks, I'll play normal, I should show my real value then.

So let me see if I understand this. The list is sorted in order of TW, or this week's score. And TW is comprised of the NSI average of your last 3 league/cup matches....or maybe just league matches. And the NSI is your team rating converted to a numeric value with mid ratings multiplied by 3. Correct?
Heavy stuff. It's cool that I'm #4, I doubt I'll move much higher then that.

More or less. The average NSI is actually weighted to attach more significance to your more recent results, but you've got the gist of it.

That is correct. NSI stands for NevStar Index as NevStar was the one who introduced us to that kind of ratings in his dynasty thread, even before HATStats got up and running for USA and Canada. The way I do my rankings is that I average your last three league games (would usually take into account the best of league and cup, but since none of the div IV and lower teams are still in the cup, I don,t do that anymore), with the current week (19.08) counting for half your average, the rating for the week before that (19.07) for a third of the average, and the ratings for the week before that (19.06) for a sixth of the average... Quote:
Not so sure about that, you're kinda close to TP6... FM

Just curious, are we trying to remove the Raiders from the Cup and the Rankings?

Very odd, I refresh the screen, and then I show up. How odd.

Hey Frog and Ardent, i have figured out why ardent doesn't show up sometimes. I have had the same problem. To resolve the problem you need to have the text size of the screen set to smallest (at least for me @1024X768). Once you do that he magically appears.

I know, I'm just talking a little smack about the I cup...but the rankings, I SWEAR I wasn't there. I looked it over 6 or 7 times before I posted. So, then I went and refreshed the screen, there it was. AE and all the Raiders, handling the 7th spot as always. But before, there was no 7. We were invisible to all!
