What do we make of this ? The game is nearing complete but it’s up to Steam if it comes out in October or November?

LOL...my guess is that he is shooting for having it release at 10:00 or 11:00 PM PST. That way, some people will be right it is released in October and for others it will be on November 1st. That's my best guess for this cryptic message.

That's similar to the way I read it--that as an East Coast early-to-bed-early-to-rise dude, I won't be staying up late looking for it, but rather checking in around 3 or 4 am when I typically awaken. I mean, even if it's 5:59am EDT, that's still October in part of the U.S.

I wanted to do this up properly. I had the design for an entire escape-type game in my head - the solution was going to be the product release announcement.

So you've been spared an entire packet of ciphers and riddles and at least one reference to Sherlock Holmes.

Great guess. I could not understand the cryptic message, but in that context it makes a ton of sense.

All I can say is, I've been waiting for a game like this for I think almost 4 years now, having been through the entire OOTP debacle starting with BTS and through OOTP's bailing out on Jim. And, yet I am so happy that we are 'this' close to release.

So, crazy coincidence, I started typing 'front' in my search bar today (I don't even remember what I was looking for) and 'front office sports solecismic' auto filled from my search history - I almost just moved on, since I had no idea anything was going on, but I thought, "hey, let's bring back fond memories", so I searched it and went to the solecismic site... And what to my wondering eyes should appear, but an announcement that FOF9 would soon appear! (sorry, I wasn't planningthat referrence) Anyway, it looks like my random timing was just about perfect - can't wait to try the new game!!

As soon as it is out I will be purchasing it. I have been playing this game for 20+ years starting way back in college. If you charged $500 I would still purchase it lol.

LOL....why do you gotta mentally make me suffer longer? I am a late night worker so fortunately I won't be paying attention. However, I was hoping I could get it around 02:00 AM, which is when I get off work.

Purchased. I remember playing FOF2 in my college dorm room and having my mind blown when I saw the Packers had relocated to Corpus Christi. I still remember winning a Super Bowl with Barry Sanders and the Lions. Barry retired that same season.

I became frustrated with the quarterback stats in fof8 to the point where I stopped playing since very seldom would any qb in the league would throw for over 4,000 yards or threw for over 30 touchdowns. I'm so relieved that the stats in fof9 are much closer to today's NFL. Great work, Jim.
