AI and the mass releasing of players (salary cap issues)
Hi guys,
I imagine this is a well known issue. The AI is releasing players in mass numbers due to salary cap issues. Even looking through a test file that was simmed 30+ years into the future, solid star level players will be released from their clubs after strong seasons and then sign a 1or 2 year deal with another club before being released again. When looking through the transaction logs from past seasons, it becomes very apparent that something isn’t right based on the frequency these players are being released. For those of us who like to get into long-term saves, this is somewhat game-breaking and effects the immersion aspect. Is there currently a workaround that anyone has had success with? I’m hoping this is very high on the priority list to be fixed for the next update. Other than that, I’m very much enjoying the game. The UI isn’t perfect, but I’m definitely seeing improvements over FOF8, and this franchise is still the gold standard for football text-based PC sims, IMO. My only other complaint really is those awful state flags in the player card screens. Having facegen or something similar like in OOTP/FHM/DDSPB would be huge for the immersion. Cheers, and great work Jim! |

Jim is in the process of fixing the issue. It was supposed to be in the last update, but apparently it's going to take some work to fix, so he postponed it to future updates.

As far as I know, there's no workaround. Last edited by cupofjoe : 12-03-2023 at 01:05 PM. |

Thank you! The fact that it’s being worked on is definitely a positive!
