C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Front Office Football Nine\default_data
You should edit default_teams and team_info to change team names. Edit league_info and league_years to change the AFC, NFC, and Super Bowl abbreviations. |

You should be able to open it with Excel and edit the nicknames.
