I'm in my 14th season, just started game 1 of RS, but somehow I've mucked up my gameplan...no running plays, either outside or inside!
How do I rectify this, OR is there a way to load a saved game from BEFORE the day to form gp?

If you've already saved the game, I think you're out of luck for this. One thing that may help in the future is if you go to settings, there's an option that you can uncheck, that says "automatic save game when exiting application" -- at least then, you'll be able to exit the game without saving it.
