Time to defend myself

1 - If you'll notice, most threads before 3,000 were in the thread kill. And last I checked, what I did is allowed there.

2 - My Jesus Christ polls were tongue-in-cheek, not to be taken seriously. I posted them, because if you remember sabotai's offense to prayer and how it alienated him.

3 - I WAS NOT the one who posted as Jesus Christ. I'll swear on my life that wasn't me.

4 - I was saying ban the person who posed as Jesus Christ, not the real Jesus Christ.

5 - If you ban me for trolling, than I must say ban JeeberD and bbor. Just read some of their threads and tell me they aren't trolling.

6 - Aren't we all supposed to have a little fun here every so often?

If SkyDog banned me for that, than that is truly sad. But if that offended anyone I apologize.

If SkyDog would reinstate me, I would gladly delete that thread and move those posts to the thread kill. But only if he puts my post count back to where it is.

And only if he counts these current posts too.

Why would he do any of that? How are you in a position to make demands? Skydog could easily delete that post or move any posts all by himself. :)

Only thing that is truely sad is you actually give a crap so much about your post count that you're worried about losing some post, and not getting credit for your 8 post when you're suppose to be suspended.

I don't think the suspension is even necessary. the fact that his post count was reset is punishment enough for him it seems. That is sad.

It would be even better if his post count was set to 0 and hard coded to remain at 0. :)

Actually if he resets it, it should be reset to the time I first logged in yesterday.

Because, and only because, you opened the situation to further discussion, I'm going to offer a comment or three.

1) I never thought you were responsible for the creation of a Jesus Christ poster name (I gather from this there's one out there, I just haven't seen it)

2) One topic would have seemed a lot more like a gag than 1+x. FTR, I believe you probably were shooting for funny and just didn't know when to stop. And that's when you crossed the line between being funny about it versus offensive mockery.

3) I seriously doubt this advice is worth .02 to you but I'll offer it anyway. Take your punishment, return when it's over & put the matter behind you. I'm pretty bad about lingering grudges but even I believe this will pass after a few days. SD's being a lot more lenient on you than I would have been, perhaps you should consider yourself lucky not victimized.

Posting innane crap just to get your post-count up to a certain number is really lame. Is post-count that important to you? Hey, when you hit a milestone, it's fine to announce it to the board, but don't be obnoxious about it.

FWIW, I personally think the threadkill should be locked and all posts made there removed from people's post-count. But nobody asked me for my opinion.

What is the difference between what mrskippy did and what some of the guys were doing a few weeks back when they were going for "wigfecta's" or whatever? I think there is some humor in re-setting his post count backwards, but a suspension seems like a double standard or something to me.
