It looks like a near All-MLS Monopoly in the Cup Final Four.. That is except for FOFC's very own representative, the APOCS!!

We definitely have a rooting interest in this one, as the 'POCS look to knock off the Grand Puba of Hattrick in America, the KC Wizards.

In the Second Semifinal, it's a battle of two squads currently tied for 2nd in the MLS League Standings, Belgrade and the Drunks.. This should be a Classic, in every sense of the word.

The semifinals (and finals) are both actually 2 legs (home and away), so will take place over the next 2 Wedsnesdays...

Thanks for the info, Billy.. That definitely makes it quite a bit tougher for a team like the 'POCS to pull a upset over the Kings of Hattrick America.

I'll be pulling for KOTA for obvious reasons, but will also be rooting for Red Star Belgrade since they are from my region (New York City) :D

I'd imagine that the three FOFC'ers Apoc gave the boot to would feel better about it if KOTA did win it all.

Nyarl: heh in my case, actually not.

I'm of the mindset that "if I can't win, I don't want any team to win it that hasn't won it".

Also in my mindset is if KC keeps winning doubles, maybe he'll get bored of it. He might be already, since he's sitting on like $17M(!) and hasn't bought anyone in about 2 months.

He started early and has done a great job of keeping his advantage (something Cyclones and Mean Losers, amongst others didn't do). If he doesn't get bored, I don't see him finishing out of the top 2 anytime remotely soon.

But back to the point, if I can't win, I'd want KC to...so, boooo me.

Not exactly boooo you. But you really wouldn't feel better having lost to the champ? I guess it's kind of different when all the teams involved are peers at the pinnacle of US soccer in HT. For me, it would make me feel better to be able to say that I made it to the fifth round where I got knocked out by the team that won it all.

Eh, in my 5 seasons in ML, I'm 0-10 all time versus KC. So I'd have lost to the champ plenty of times, if he wins :)

But yeah, I can totally understand wanting the team that knocked you out to end up winning it all.

Ouch. I can definately see why you want him to get bored.

Well it is an uphill battle with Billy's thugs taking Sid out for three weeks. Hopefully he returns in time for the second leg if he dooes I think I can beat KC by 1-2 at home and only lose by 1 or tie on the road :)

mumbles : just keep telling yourself that apoc and it will come true ;)
