Is a corner kick considered a set piece? The reason I ask is that I have a solid set piecer who is a head specialty. If corners are included then I probably don't want him to be my set piece guy, right?

Does scoring abilit factor in at all with set pieces?

If scoring has an impact on set pieces, it is probably a minor one.

As far as the solid set pieces/head specialist goes, the player can be on either end of a corner kick/head combination, but obviously not both. If you have a different player who is also solid in set pieces, then they should be taking the corner kicks and the like, leaving the head specialist player free to (hopefully) head some in.

Of course, not all set pieces goals are the result of headers, but a significant number of them are.

It would be kind of funny, though...

"Bob Smith sends off a well placed corner kick. Bob Smith sails high above the opposition, to knock in the go-ahead goal..."

Shouldn't be possible without the "quick" specialty, really. And I do mean QUICK! :D
