Was that before the three-game losing streak? I'll have to wait until you are more than 12 GAMES INTO THE SEASON before I start putting MrBug on Believe t-shirts and cranking out the MrBug bobblehead dolls.
After careful review of the $23 million payroll, I have come to the conclusion that a winning season in KC is just about as likely as a winning season for the Bengals or Kodos starting a Dave Wannstedt Fan Club.
Have you ever considered taking up Hattrick? :)

Hattrick blows
We are into May I believe. Did you know what first place was? :D
I'm still waiting for you to join up again. I know you are first on the waiting list....

Maybe it just coincides with the Royals being in first place (albeit by .001) in real life :D
I gotta say- it's much more fun this year for KC baseball than any of the other years. Speaking of which, I'll be at Sundays Royals-Cards game- front row of the upper deck in the Hy-Vee $5 seats right over 3rd or 1st base, I forget which (the benefit of buying tickets early). It's Monarchs cap day and after eluding me for 4 years, I will finally have some (one year I was out of town, another I was in summer school and had a test the next day, and another pair I had to work- then again I shouldn't jynx it- I don't have the cap in hand yet so I'm bound to have car trouble or something).
In a BBPro league I'm in, my Royals are in first place at Sept 1, but that probably has to do with the fact that the only Royals still on the team making major contributions are Sweeney and Brandon Berger (who for some reason got high stats in there- go figure)

I will say this -- you are a testament to the theories that good pitching beats good hitting. I don't believe I have ever seen a mightier collection of punch and judy hitters. That starters have been outstanding.
I think the only mistake you have made from a managerial standpoint so far is every handing the ball off the that gas can of a bullpen. :)
Brian's got my name, so maybe there will be an opening next season and I can give this a whirl. I just hope I can land in the Central and we can settle this on the virtual diamond.

I dunno, I've lost 2 games to the Central all year. Maybe a team in the West, they have my number
If you look at my starters, you'll notice that if they make it to the 6th, it's a great game pitched. Sadly, my pen is VERY weak. Ah well

Look at it this way, even though it won't last for Royal fans, being in first place is still better than being in last place...

First to fourth in two weeks, 2 1/2 back. It's not looking good.

It happens I guess. Of course, I'm getting better talent wise after every sim, so next year I'll be a beast without losing anyone of importance

He had to run up against that Boston buzzsaw in that time. Could have happened to anyone! :)
