Question about cash rewards...

From what I understand, at the end of the season there are cash rewards for winning your series, cash for promotion and also cash for having the leading goal scorer in your series. My question is if anyone knows what happens if the leading goal scorer is no longer in the game (he was part of a bot team that was taken over by a player)?

In my series, The top 2 scorers were on bot teams and have since been wiped. Two of my players are 3rd and 4th, with the 4th player having been sold off. For Division VI, I think the cash reward is $10,000 for the team with the top goal scorer. I was wondering who would get the cash reward.

The reward is $10K regardless of division.

I am betting no team will get the reward.

You won't get the cash unless the bot teams with #1 and #2 get replaced before payday. If those teams are replaced, you have a chance at getting the cash money. If not, #3 and #4 isn't good enough to get you any money.

Just to clarify, they've already been replaced. They are currently listed as "former player" on the top scorer list.

Hmmm . . . well that's interesting. I've never seen that before. Perhaps then, you are the Guinea Pig. Let us know what happens. :) I'd be willing to bet that since they are still listed, that you won't be getting the money though. :(

That's my guess as well. I also doubt the player who took over the bot team with the leading scorer would get the money. It most likely just goes unrewarded, but I couldn't find anywhere on the website that actually explains what happens under this circumstance. Although I did find out what happens in case of a tie. :)

I'm email the GM and ask? If anything they may take those guys off the list if you be proactive about it.

He's more likely to get the money than get the list changed, and he is not likely to get the money.

It's unlikely that the devs will change the rules less than a week before the season ends. Whatever the answer is to this question, the result will not change just because he asks, he will just know the answer.

I was hoping apoc would take a peak in this thread and let me know what the rule was. I'm not interested in them making an exception or anything. I figure this has happened before and they probably have accounted for this in some manner (most likely by not awarding the bonus money).
