Bought it, licensed it, installed it... everything is good... Now, are there any patches or updates or rosters I should be aware of?!?

If you just downloaded it today, it is probably "patched" up through 5.11. Just browse through the community and forum pages over at the .400 board for info on real rosters, skins, logos, utilities, etc.

Especially the OOTP MOds forum. A lot of good logos, roster sets, stadiums.

Go with fictional rosters. It takes a bit of time to get into it, but it is well worth the time investment...YMMV.

Here is a great resource for add ons: Baseball Sim Central (http://baseballsimcentral.com/dloads/Out_of_the_Park/Out_of_the_Park_5/)
I recommend grabbing updated MLB rosters, a HoF file, a leaderboard file, and some logos to start with.

Make sure you check out Telfon Skies' stadiums he makes. They are a great addition to fictional leagues.

When you go through time and there are new rules and team expansion, how does game handle that and how much baseball history is the user supposed to understand and implement?
Or better yet, is there a good tutorial for that?
Thanks!

You should get a small sum of money everytime you mention Lahman and historical sim in the same post. You would be rich by now. ;)

You have to do it yourself. There are tutorials, but it can be, quite frankly, a bit difficult to implement if you don't know what you're doing.

Yeah, but everyone there knows I don't care for the game all that much...I do like the online capability though. Since you left, shorty is our official JBL fanboy.

Marm, it doesn't matter how one plays the game - you are just as much as a fanboy as I am. You do online not solo, I do historical not fictional and shorty just jumps up and down. :D

Go to your team screen. Then at the top scroll over your team name. You will see an option that says "Transactions." Click that then you can see your whole system from the majors to everyone on the DL. Then it is click and drag. I always find myself hitting the "Auto-manage Minor Leagues" button. I hope this helped.

Muchos gracias!
I'm guessing about 2 minutes of my own time would have found that. I was actually guessing that the .400 studios forums might be a good place to start. :)
