As some of you are probably aware, the Shook clan has a number of notable members within Hattrick. GM-George and slashers (or is it wizards? ) are brothers (if I remember correctly), and there is another that plays the game as well (whose name and team escape me at the moment).

It appears that another of the Shooks has joined the game. Kansas City Monarchs (Series VI.956) is a new team, and the owner's name is Brandon Shook.

This is just an observation, but it seems to me that the Monarchs might be a team to watch, as the owner will obviously be getting advice from some very knowledgable family members.

I only noticed this because a friend of mine was recently convinced to try the game. His team is the Ben Arnolds (he's English, but is now an American citizen. Go figure. ;) ), and is in the same series as the Monarchs.

I only make mention of this because it would seem to me that new teams could benefit quite a bit from watching the moves that the Monarchs make. This is assuming, of course, that Brandon Shook is part of the Hattrick Shook clan.

Edit: Yeah, this is another of the Shooks. He's arranged for a friendly with the Wolfpack, run by Adam Shook (the one that I could not remember).

If I remember correctly, the 'Shook Mafia' consists of the following:

Cyclones
Slashers FC
The Wolfpack

Minute Men (a brother-in-law)

Kansas City Wizards (a co-worker of Cyclones)

Sheesh, I didn't know there were anymore brothers or in-laws out there.

This should be interesting.

I have a player on my team named Thomas Shook :D

Dola-

I bookmarked his team. So far he has made one purchse, a passable keeper in which he paid about market value.

His first game he beat an equally new team 6-0.

His NSI was a 35.

I wonder if this kid feels any pressure?

Giving them a link to this site would not hurt maybe they will get hooked and share their knowledge of Hattrick.

I have a multi-talented player, also named Walter Shook. . . (start conspiracy mutterings)

I remember George saying that he had a brother who was in the Navy, I think, but could care leass about Hattrick. Maybe this is him.

George does have a brother in the Navy, but he's a submariner and therefore not worthy of mention. :) I've written to both of them on occassion about HT and the Cardinals, are favorite baseball team.

George has been to the site on a few occassions, maybe more for all I know. I invited him over to the forum a while back to check things out. As I recall, he was impressed with our group and forum. I bet he'll be a FOFC member before long. He will be assimilated.
