Well, finally took the plunge and upgraded my stadium from 7,000 seats. The revamped Averill Park Mercury Arena will house 17,000 Mercury fans - more than twice the previous amount.
This was a very tough decision for me, though. I was just a tad in debt (~$25k) prior to the expansion - now I'll be nearly $300k in debt. So I'll need to make back my spent money relatively quick. Though my calculations have me making enough money through the new stadium to sustain myself through the season. Hopefully at some point both my training program and just one fabulous youth pull will put me back into the black and I will really start to be able to advance my squad.

Expanding my stadium and going 100's of K in Debt is what triggered my economic downfall. That interest really adds up. I was forced to sell off my 2 best players to get out. One year latter I'm now selling out my 20,000 seats but I believe it cost me 1 or 2 positions in the standings losing that talent ( and almost cost me my team to bankruptcy) Be carefull not to go any furture in debt.
But with that aside, Good luck and gratz with your ground braking of the new stadium.

RPI-Fan: I am in the same boat as you, I want to uprade my 10005 seat stadium, but I dont want to risk going in the hole. Of course first I have to get out of debt, but right now im loosing over 10k a week. So I need to upgrade or cut costs

I am going to be upgrading my stadium as well. It is going to be from 14150 up to 30-35k. That is going to be expensive.

I'm in the same boat as well. I'm at 10K and I want to be around 20K ideally. Keep updating please, I'm curious to see how things go for you.

I went from 15k to 25k a few weeks ago, and it has already paid off about half the debt I went into for it after taking interest and grounds fees into account (I had 3 home games in the last 4 weeks). I figure by the time I'm done with my cup run next season it will have more than paid for itself and be providing me with a nice profit every two weeks.

Well, I am 126K in the hole and desperately need to improve my stadium to over 8K. But I need more income or at least a very good youth pull to sell to get me to where I can add on at least 8K more seats. Any clues what to do without sacrificing too much of my team?
I'm thinking of moving my 31K to 45K, even though I haven't played a game in the 31K sincee upgrading from 23K:)
Dola, I would get approx. $236K for a sellout in a 45K stadium, that would be crazy.

I decided to wait until AFTER this week's weekly update so I don't get jacked for the extra arena fees. MY new 25,000 seater should be ready to go by the 1st league game of the season at the latest. (I'm playing in a 13,250 stadium right now) Best part, I won't even be getting a sniff at debt either thanks to a big sale tomorrow :D
