Whats the best pull people have had from

the beginning to passable Youth Squads

There are rumors that someone has pulled a solid GK from a poor squad.

Can this happen?

I've managed an inad defender and an inad keeper from my two youth pulls while at passable. Before that, I got Burger King employees.

You can theoretically pull the Golden God (17 year old excellent PM) with a wretched youth squad. The odds of doing so are damn near nothing, but it can be done.

I pulled a passable goalie at inadequate (final week) and passable (week 2)

In my last three weeks of passable I pulled an inadequate winger, a passable scorer (clown too), and a passable playmaker. Prior to that my best had been a weak fry cook.

It's damn near impossible with an excellent youth squad, too...

My wife pulled a 17 year old excellent PM with a solid YS... she pulled a inad PM with excellent passing the next week @ solid. She's was low-mid solid...

I have NEVER pulled ANYTHING Excellent and I've been @ Excellent for about 9 months now.

My best ever youth pull was a 19-YO Solid Winger with Inad Passing and defense, and that was at passable. So yeah, you can definately get some quality there.

I've pulled two passable keepers in a row in the last two weeks with a passable youth squad. One was valued at $289K and popped to solid the week after.

You're telling me???

She also won her series this season... which is unbelievable since she's a Set Pieces trainer.

Set Piece training baffels me. She most have a lot of guys above solid. Does she even have a true youth squad?

Did she ever sell that Divine Set Pieces guy? How much did he go for? I imagine a guy like that would be a major difference maker for teams on the level of most FOFC squads.

Never got any major skill above inadequate with a passable or lower squad (two with passable passing, one passable set pieces). My first pull from a solid squad was an 18yo high passable keeper, and my last pull was an 18yo pass winger, pass PM.

And thats it -- Only two useful/marketable players from a mid solid squad.

My best ever was a 17yo solid keeper

I've been at Solid for about 12 weeks, and I've never pulled anything better than Inadequate. Kind of frustrating :(

My youth squad has been excellent all season, and I haven't pulled any youths worth more than $1,000 or so on the market since the beginning of May.

I'm at solid and have never have a good youth pull to this day.

I think set piece is underappreciated in certain circumstances. If the Screamin' Seamen and that team Havok uses as an example of how much Hattrick dislikes defense had those 2 divine set piece players from lytic's wife's team, I can imagine them having quite a few more wins per season.

Her team for all interested are: "Beckys Babes" (yes I know, stupid name).

she hasn't sold him yet, why? I dunno... it's her team. I think she's going to sell him soon though (probably sometime after the bonuses are paid, so she can get a replacement wing back and the market prices of players go back up). I have talked to GM-Apoc and he said that I *CAN* buy from my wife's team with prior GM approval. So I've considered it... she did sell a 19 year old weak defender with SN SP recently for $11k. So I dunno if SP really sells... yet. That divine SP guy is 33, so I doubt he's gonna sell for a lot. She does have a magical (I think) 24 year old winger with decent stats who may sell well. It is definatly interesting watching her team... I can't believe she actually won her series!

As far as "sell value" goes, I agree with you that it probably doesn't sell. But as far as value to the team goes, for a defensive-type team that doesn't score very much, I can see it being incredibly useful. I mean, I would actually consider . . . *gasp* playing a 4-5-1, with folks like those.
