I play over at pokerroom, I actually play nothing but tournaments over there, as a way to brush up on my game. Basically, you have to finish 3rd or higher to get your stake back+any money. As always, comments and critiques are welcome.

Hand 2: Big Blind, Jc 8h, w/six limpers and I check, flop is 9d 3h 9c, and when someone bets, I get out.

3: I'm now at the small blind, I get a pair in the pocket 7H, 7D, I call the blind (10-15 at this level), and with 3 others, the flop is good: 10s. Jh 7s, I check, and when a steamer bets, I along with another call, Turn is the 2c, we all check, and when the AC pops up on the river, I check, and win a $220 pot with 3 of a kind. It's early, but I'm the chip leader right now, and the blinds won't come my way again for a while

Blinds go up to 15-25 before I play a hand

12: Big Blind again, 8d, 5C, I play slightly foolishly here, when our resident steamer (down to $205) raises, I call, and realize my foolishness when the flop is Jc, 10h, 3h, so $50 in chips dropped on this one

13: 8c 6H in the Small blind and when the steamer (who is down to his last few chips), raises, I get out (and curse, when the flop comes 7S 5c 9H). Fortunately, the steamer's loss knocks him out, and he finishes 10th. But if I had stayed in, a nice pot would have headed my way (as my 9-hi straight would have beaten the winner's two pair. I'm currently at $945 and in fourth Chip position.

16: Qd 9d is the pocket, and I call with 5 others to see the flop, 5c ac jd is the flop, all check, 8s is the turn, once again we all check, As is the river, and when someone bets in front of me and the next guy calls, I get out.

18 I get Ad JH, and 8 of 9 see the flop, 6s Jc 2s, I call the early position better (he's steaming I think), and I get a good river card, Js, and bet in third position, and bring four others with me, the River is 7C, and that's bettable, and only the steamer calls. My trip jacks get me a $750 pot and puts me in 2nd chip position at $1520.

Blinds are now $25-50

21: In the Big Blind position with 9S 6h with 5 limpers, flop is Kh Qs Qh, and when the guy on the button bets, I get out.

22: Small Blind with 9s 6s, but with two raises piling up in front of me, I decide discretion is the bettor part of valor and get out with little loss. Three folks bite it on this hand, and this leaves us with 6. I've never seen a triple knockout before. This puts me in 3rd position, chip wise. the two chip leaders are directly to my left.

25: Another pocket 7 pair, 7h, 7s, and I call, and all of us are in to see the flop, which is Ah 5d 2d, all checked, the river is Kc, and when the first position bets, I get out. Down to $1395, and the table's down to 5, with the player to my right likely being the next to go.

27: Big Blind time, and I pull 6c, 5s, and only get two to come along, the flop is 10s, Qs. 9h, all checked, turn is 7h, again all check, and the river is Qh, all checked, and I lose out on the pocket A

28: Small blind with 10d, 9H, and down to $1320, I decide not to play this hand

Blinds are up to: $50-100

32: Big Blind time, already? Ugh. That's no fun at a short tournament table. got 9h 6h, and I got 3 others for the flopp, kh qs ks, all checked turn is kd, and with three kings showing and no chance at the flush I get out.

33: Small blind 7S 6C, and I think I steamed a bit here, going into a 3 way flop of Ah 3d Kd, all checked, the turn is 4S, and when the chip leader bets, there's not enough outs to make it worthwhile. Down to $1120, but a couple other players have taken huge losses, so I'm in 2nd (the leader's pushing nearly $5000)

36: We're down to four at this point Once again, I'm on the Big Blind, and I get 8c, 3s, and all join in to see Jc 3c Js on the flop, We all check to the button, who bets, and we all call, turn is the 6h, not really much help out there, again it's all checked to the button, this time the chip leader folds when the button bets, the chip leader drops, and when the turn is 2H, I call the button's bet, and lose big as he had trip jacks. I'm way down to $360 at this point.

38: time to go for it with Ah 10c, and figuring I need a Miracle, I bet that. get one caller, and when the flop comes 3c 6d 6c, and I go betting the chip leader decides to let me stick around, but I didn't take too much from it. I'm back at $610.

40: BB, but I lose on a pair of aces, and I'm all in on the blind, and that's all she wrote, as I finish one place out of the money at #4
