Where can I download new maps without having to pay or get register with gamespy?

Is there any other way to get new maps?

I was on vacation last week and me and brother played all week and I got hooked, so I went and bought the games today and am looking for some new maps.

Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend the 2 maps released by EA, Aberdeen and the recently released Battle Of Britian. You should beable to get both from the official BF site [Through there EA setup]

I use www.bfcentral.com for most of my news and although their site and download section is not always UP, you can usually get them directly from there.

Have played BF for about 7 months and still have a great interest in it.

Does BF 1942 run well on a 56k??? or is there alot of lag?? I played the demo before it came out and it wasn't bad. The plane controls were kinda wierd and bullets seemed to shoot kinda of 'slow'. Like i could have my sights right on a guy who was 15 yards away and shoot and hit nothing half the time if he was running to the side.

I miss playing FPS online since i moved and don't have a DSL line anymore. The only game that i have that runs pretty good on a 56k is Ghost Recon. But not many people play that anymore since the new Tom Clancey game came out.

I'd love to find a FPS that runs well on a 56k and doesn't suck :)
