Actually, Lewis claimed on a recent Fox News interview (for some reason they wanted to get his thoughts on Iraq, UN, etc.). That his audience in Japan and Germany has always been bigger than France, and that this was just a big misconception that he was most popular in France.

BTW, speaking of Jerry Lewis, he looks like complete shit. But...he IS lucky to be alive...

And here I thought the Germans had no comedic sense. I haven't seen a German (I assume this video was made for them) music moment like this since I was in Europe watching German homies trying to rap on German MTV.
