From FOFC Glory I (old board), edited for current seasons/years:

FOFC Glory will be about you guys signing up, and I will put you into NCAA 2004 on the PS2(sorry haters, but its the only way!), and I will simulate each year, documenting everyones season. This will continue throughout the college experience and onto the NFL(Madden).

It starts from you being recruited in the NCAA to retiring in your NFL career... this can potentially be a very long dynasty.

If a lot more people want to do this than I thought, then I might put a limit to how many can join(you don't just have to join for 2004, when the 2005 season comes - which might be a week in real time -, then you can sign up.)

So what you need to do if you want to join is two things.

Firstly if you have NCAA for the PS2, you can personally post your ratings(OVR is 85 max), for example.

And if you a) dont own the game, b) dont feel like manually doing your own ratings up to 85 OVERALL, then simply tell me general info(height, weight, #..) what kind of player you want to be and I will give you ratings myself. Examples of players are cover corner, hard hitting corner, possession receiver, speed receiver, strong kicker..etc

If I did not make anything clear or you want something explained, please reply.

While I am up in the last hours of the morning, I misewell sim through the first season (since there are no recruits until season 2!!)..

The 2003 College Football Season
-Ohio State was the pre-season favorite.

-Kansas State HB Darren Sproles won the Heisman.

-Surprise Oregon State went 12-1 on their way to the Rose Bowl and the defeat of Florida State (11-2).

-A battle of the undefeateds for the Sugar Bowl National Championship, where Ohio State (12-0) were to defend their title to Oklahoma (13-0).

-Oklahoma won the national championship, 24-20.

And it is time for the offseason, meaning, I have nothing left to do but wait until you all signup.

Here's hoping it turns out as well as the first run, eh?

mckerney, you might have to change your weight to have any sort of strength (as is needed for a DT), but after i input the ratings i can change your weight back down

mckerney
07-19-2003, 04:06 AM
Don't really need high strength, I wanna see how the speed rusher thing works out.

Oh, and you should do this for huve too. You won't ever have to create him.

Also, let's not say things due to you being up so late that you can't take back later. :D

I pm'ed you, but did you want to keep a 79 OVR or want me to boost it to 85 by increasing some things?

mckerney
07-19-2003, 04:11 AM
You can just leave them where they're at. I know I could have gone up to 85 but only wanted to go to 79. That way it will become even more amazing when winning the Heisman 3 years in a row.

I think so. I hear that if it were possible for you to come out after your freshman year they'd have you tagged as a 3rd or 4th rounder, but after hearing you're interview your now a projected first rounder.

I go to the game of Louisville/Oklahoma to get some pics. In this game that totals 4 FOFC guys. Great!

Oh, wait. Not a single one starts.. oh well.

But I'm in luck with one. The starting FS for UL is hurt, so Neuqua starts! W00t. While Louisville gets the ball first, who's that familiar looking 19 lined up at wideout? Well hey, it's Neuqua again. I notice he is the Cardinals #4 wideout. And what else, as I browse through the depths? He's their #3 HB as well. And, backup LOLB and ROLB? That's Neuqua too.

The #1 (sterlingice), #2 & # 4 WR recruits chose Oklahoma. If there is anything good out of all this, atleast ardent has some people to throw the ball to.

Coffee Warlord doesn't appreciate this hating of Coffee Warlord. If Coffee Warlord were there right now, Coffee Warlord would break both of tucker342's hands, and then prod tucker342 with a pointy stick. Well, as they say at Ohio State, "Not everybody comes to college to be in college. ... I've had some grades changed; other people have, too. Now we're headed to the NFL, which is what we came here to do."

Just look at all the leaders of Ohio State

Maurice Clarett - <html><s>Heisman Candidate</s></html> - Cheater

Oh, but wait, if we go back we have someone else:

Robert Smith - <html><s>On</s></html> Quit Football Team to be Pre Med Student

But wait, looks who's on the team now:

Shorty3821 - <html><s>Runningback</s></html> - Midget

illinifan999 - <html><s>Quarterback</s></html> - Betrayer of the human race

Won't Madden be out by the time you would be done with the next two years of NCAA?

Problem is, a bunch of the players who started in the 1st year will be leaving for the pros this season.

That actually works out perfect. Those players would have to wait until Madden is released anyways. If all the players get to finish out college before Madden comes out he can just focus on Madden once it does come out instead of going back and forth.

Actually, I'm going year by year, so a few years some will be in college, some in the pros.

We don't care. We just want our fixes.

Actually, with the Madden date being so close, it's probably a good time to get started. I'm sure that you're gonna want to mess around with it by yourself without dealing with the dynasty. So we'll probably be in for another delay anyway. Give us something to tide us over.
