So how are everybody's wages for the new season? I hope they are all managable...
As for me, I'm just a bit over $100k which really isn't that much compared to other teams in division II. They are a lot lower than I thought they would be actually. Next year should be expensive though :)

I think that not all players have aged and had their salaries updated yet. Is that possible?
Reason I say this is I see some older players that are one year older, with a different salary, but many of my younger players still have the same salary and have not aged...
Maybe it's because in Canada though :)

Yeah my 17 year olds haven't aged either. The updated seems to have stopped according to apoc and idigum. I hope this doesn't screw anything up like make 17 year olds not age or make the most recent youthies age.

yeah that's what I had realized, none of my 17yo have aged and many, but not all, of my 19 and younger have not aged...

as just posted on Hattrick...
2003-07-21 Age updates
As many have noticed, the age updates of the players have not been complete. This will be fixed, but it will take a few days because we will need to go back to some old data, and then redo the age update. Please be warned about this when looking for players on the transfer list. The problem is maximum priority and we will work as quickly as we can, but we don't expect this to be fixed until Wednesday at earliest.
Wednesday!!! well, that sucks. nothing we can do though...

So anyone who has aged has had their salary updated, and anyone who has not aged has not had their salary updated?
Want to keep this straight financially. :)

That is correct.

TP, that might expect why your salary are not as high as you'd expect. Many of them 17yo migth experience some salary hike, although for you they may not represent that much on the overall figure...
For now, 18 of my players have aged but only 2 of them are part of my training program (playmaking). Current salary increase is 1072 U$ weekly.
I still have 12 players to age:
6 of them are 17yo trainees
1 of them are 18yo trainees
3 of them are 18-22 keepers
1 of them is a 19yo defender
1 of them is a 27yo forward (go figure why!)
For my salary level, them 7 trainees could represent a good salary hike...

Well they are lower becuase I sold one of my better midfielders. Also seeing as the only two that havent aged still dont have great skills they won't make much of a differnce (I included 4x their current wage in my calculation).

that's what I thought, that most of your salary increase wouldn't come from some 17yo, but mostly from players that had already aged.
That's different from a team like mine, where I've had them 17yo training for a half season. that and the fact that my weekly salaries at the end of last season came up to a whopping 27864 U$ :)

I got beat up pretty good by the update. Went up about 70k (which takes wages up to approx. 270k...still well behind Slashers I think). 3 of my mids went up 20k, 15k, and 10k each.
Still, it's not terrible. Expanded my stadium, so that should make up for it. Also, am selling a defender now and a midfielder soon, so will be back close to 200k.
Also also, no major individual problems like last season (where one mid alone was 55k/week and a striker was 48k/week), as my top wage-earner's below 40k/week.

"also also" that's good news.

I went up just 4K. The one perk of being a D5 team I guess.

all of my players haev been updated...
total weekly wages before update: 27864 U$
total weekly wages after update: 30032 U$
increase: 2168 U$ or 7.8%
Not bad, I guess... My weekly wages were only 20000 U$ about 4 weeks before the end of the season. That's when I decided to gear up my team for level IV and bought a few solids here and there...

Including a couple of recent roster changes, my weekly wages have only jumped by about $4,500. This will rise some more, however, as I still have about $700,000 in transfer funds available.
Wingback Arlen "Headcase" Lucas is now the 3rd highest-paid player on the club (and the 2nd highest paid outfielder) at $2,920 per week.

This is where defender trainers make out.

Pre-update wage bill: $24380
Post-update wage bill: $27394
Difference: +$3014 (12.3%)
A decent little jump in costs for a broke franchise likely to be "battling bravely against relegation" this season. I'll be selling off a few guys, however, which should bring the wage bill down a bit.

before $26,498
after $30,750
That is resonable, now if I could only get rid of that damn interest again!
