I don't usually pay much attention to cheaters and strange transfer market buys and sales, but while updating my "series spy" on HAM, I saw that a team on my series had just bought a player for 1,682,000 C$. I immediately thought "WOW, let's go see who this is and how I'm gonna counter this". Turns out the player he bought is a 19 yo forward, best performance ever a 3 stars no later than a month ago, so probably a very nice trainee... No big deal. I look at his Transfer History and this buy is the second on the list (from the top).

Here's what is the latest transaction:

When is the last time you have seen a player valued at 10k (remember 20000 C$ = 10000 U$) sell for 375k U$??!?

I thought, "okay, maybe it's a divine experience player and everything", but NO NO NO!!! It's a player pulled just last Sunday. Here's the player's sheet:

FM- did you have to change any settings in HAM to get the series spy to update your new series? I just did mine and it brought up the info for the teams in my old series (V.237) instead of my new one (IV.5)? Just wondering if there is some little setting somewhere i need to go change.

edit- it just finished and for some reason it checked both series....strange....

Doug, what version are you up to? Mine is at 3.2.35.121. It was doing just what you are describing before I upgraded to the latest version, the one with the transfer market price analysis...

Now it's fine and it got only my new league's info...

I have 3.2.34.120, it has the transfer price thing...this was the first time I checked the series spy, maybe it is something that will just work it self out.

I gave up reporting stuff like that. I reported one guy where you could even see they were loggining on like 15 minutes apart with the same IP and nothing was done.

Went to the HAM site and I have the Beta with the experience slider in the player rating page. Here's what's mentionned in the description of the newest version:

New beta version 3.2.35.121 Experience
What's New?
Experience added as player weight setting (Player 2 tab). Experience adds the selected percentage of player experience to the (pos) value.
Added Transfer Fee Payed column.
Added Transfer Price Evaluation Quality column that shows how many database transfers matched the player.

Bug Fixes
Series Spy now deletes old teams no longer in series.
New country curencies fixed.
HAM no longer places a new instance in the add/remove programs list each time a new version is installed.

I don't do it often, but the two times I've done it resulted in teams disappearing from the map... What do you want, I'm an idealist... ;)

I played 4 games in my first season, before being relegated, that were against human owners. Went 2-2 :) This week might not even be against a very human team. That team was originally a bot team that promoted, which then was given to a human owner. The new owner got the team on July 16th, logged twice on Jully 17th and never logged back in. He played an interesting brand of 4-4-2 in his cup match yesterday, but got trounced 8-1 by a human controlled division V team...

I plan on PICing him to boost the team spirit a little more :)

Strange fact, the team in my league has had his team since April 8, 2002 :eek: Weird that there are no other strange transfers in there. Maybe he just thought "yeah, I should get away with it"...

when I had one in my series, I reported normally, and then I HT-mailed apoc. It was like the wrath of god decended, because that guy never logged into any of those teams again.

I have nothing to add on-topic other than to agree with you about reporting the schmuck. But I did wanted to say that the first thing that popped in my mind when I saw the thread title was: "If you smelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll what the FrogMan is COOKING!"

Or whatever the French/French Canadian version of it may be. :)
