I know that the new guy in Canada, Booj and his Machine, lost 1-0. Can't remember if it was to a bot team or not though.

Reagrding if these games counted to our rankings. no they don't. For me, a week always starts on Sunday and it's the same with your rankings score.

What I was doing last season, and what I will do again this season, is start a thread every week on Saturday, that asks you to "Post your game ratings for week 20.01 here". With the league game ratings (from the thread and those I got from HT myself), I'll compute temporary rankings. Come Wednesday, I will start another thread, asking to "Post your cup ratings for round 2 here". Now, I'll leave until Thursday or Friday night to post your ratings, but only if you think they are better that you league ratings (if they are worse, or you don't care, you don't have to post them for you cup round). I will then adjust the rankings for the teams that have posted new ratings after the cup, taking for the week the best rating between the league and the cup match.

That way if your cup match ratings is better than your league match ratings and you care enough to post it, you'll get a better rankings. If it's not better, or you don't care, then your legue match ratings will count for your weekly rankings.

The team that won my series last year lost his cup game, though I have a feeling that he was playing no starters and had decided to PIC, and is planning to MOTS me in week one of the season because even though he finished in first, I probably had the better team at the end of the season.

I won my bot team cup game.

Only thing I am thinking is my FOFC rating is going to go down since I am playing a bad team in the series, and have decided to use most of my B-team against them. Saving the A-teamers for Cup match for exp.

See my explanation just above. If you post your cup match ratings and it is better than your league match ratings, I will use the best of the two for that given week...
