I sold a low solid Goalie for a profit of 206K Took me right out of debt for a week. Now im going to go about 300k in debt to upgrade my stadium. Otherwise by the end of the year I will be 140k in debt without any sales.
I have another Inad goalie im trying to sell for 50k. So that should really help. :)

Congrats, but what is that "debt" thing that you're talking about :p
I hope you pull wretched players for the rest of your HT career!!!

vexroid: I hope not. I did get lucky towards the end of the season with three Inad or better Goalies. But the rest of last season I had bad pulls so this makes up for it.

Well I took the plunge And I am adding 15k seats to my arena. Will put me just shy under 25k. Hopefully now I will be making about 30-40k per week, instead of losing 20k. And will be out of debt in about 10 weeks or so.

The ruskies have a completely retooled lineup after the sale of Kevin Hinton for $550k. We were $300k in debt before that sale however, we quickly went $200k back into debt in that whole retooling process. But, we've bounced back and now we are sitting at $30k.
In the meantime, I keep telling myself that we will eventually be able to spend at least a week out of debt.

I hear you herd.
I sold my 17 year old solid scorer for 700K, giving me +570K. I then added on to my stadium. Bought 3 solid defenders and 2 solid scorers and a solid middie. I am now -100K, but am selling a solid 18 year old middie.

Sorry, that was meant to be directed at NAIWF.

Congrats. I wish I was so lucky, I'm in danger of losing my team since I'm so deep in debt. I'm selling a solid GK now for about 180K which should keep me in for some more weeks...

Airhog . . . Congrats!!! :D
3ric . . . Ouch. How bad are you in for?
Don't know how well the numbers translate to dollars, but about -$400k as I'm losing about $45k most weeks due to bank interest.
Update - I've got a bid for my passable goalie as well - that should get me another $90K - deadline in 20 minutes. That's well economically, but disastrous for the team as I've to play a weak keeper until I get another pull...

According to the Rules page, it's 1000 kr = 100 US$. So, I'm guessing that's 4 500 US$ of interest. That isn't bad. I'm doing 5 575 US$ at about 111 505 US$ worth of debt at the moment. What is is dragging your money situation down?
No, that should be $20,000 in interest. Not enough income, I guess.
This week
Revenue Expenses
Crowd 0 Arena 39 000
Sponsors 204 000 Wages 221 160
Financial 0 Interest 202 216
Temporary 0 Temporary 20 000
Staff 45 000
Youth squad 100 000
Total revenue 204 000 Total expenses 627 376
Expected income/loss -423 376
When I play league games at home, I break about even for the week.
Update: the good news are that a bidding war has started for my solid keeper - the bid is up to $363K which should help a great deal...

3ric that would suck if you lost your team! Isnt Sweden's waiting list super huge?
It's a huge waiting list, you'd expect a wait of 3-5 months to get a team! My wife "applied" the day before yesterday just in case, but since I got $453K for both of my keepers I'm almost out of debt!
So, I'm in no danger of losing my team anymore, but in hindsight I should have kept my passable keeper a little longer... now I have to play a weak keeper!

Ahhh, debt. I remember it well. I have been down to the -400k line myself. That was when I was making a run to stay in Div IV my first year. I have since climbed out and can't wait to go back into debt when I decide to make a run at my division's titles.
Ermmm. . . I mean . . . this year, yeah, this year when I go for my division title. (looks around for lytic and DamnMikeBrown)

It looks like your staff consists of only 3. You might want to consider bringing that up a tad. In the end, who/whatever you train will be what bring you out of debt so a few more coaches may turn out to be worth it (even if you don't max out to 10). Along that line of thought, a physio or two to allow you to train at a greater intensity may also be worth it. Depending on your debt level, having an economist on hand may be worth it. From what I've heard, it is worth a consideration to go to two if your debt passes the magical 200 000 US$ mark. With your keeper being bid up and your debt becomes more managable, I would expect to see interest go down fairly sharply as well. I see that you have your Youth Program level at the middle level. I don't really think this is as bad as most people make it out to be, especially with the kind of debt level we face. When you're far enough away from the Dead-Team-Walking Zone and is able to pop it back up to maximum, you should pop to solid within a week or two.

Now I am back deep in the whole. I failed to realize that I have two weeks straight of away games, that is going to hurt alot. but I think I can climb out of debt.

This just means you have two straight weeks of home games at the end of the season! That ROCKS!
I have a physio, a doctor and a spokesperson. Will hire some coaches and an economist, and have already bumped up the Youth Program to the max. Thanks for the advice!

Erhm.......ok my recent youth pull had a 500k bid on him. Come back, and someone, one other person raised it up 100k to make the highest price 600k. Oh well, 14 hours left, come on bidding war! :)

With Cup games you'll be alright.

That is SO coincidental. You are almost out of debt, and I am almost in debt. Amazing!!

It means you may have to deviate from your training plan a bit depending on what you train and try to max out your run in the cup. Each week your stay in that Cup - even as a road team - could be just what saves you from the dreaded Dead Team Walking zone.
