TCY Group Challenge

Not that I don't have enough dynasties going on, but I'd like to try and start a group TCY challenge. The way it would work is people would be chosen for various coaching positions. I'd make the universe file available to all the coaches and they'd tell me how they want something done. I'd be the head coach and write the game reports. As Head Coach, I wouldn't do much except write game reports and settle disputes. My main function would be to hire the best coaches for each slot and if necessary, fire those that aren't getting it done.

If you're interested, reply to this post and tell me why you'd be great at one or more of these positions...

Assistant Head Coach - In charge of Time Management and Coaching Blocks
Offensive Coordinator - Sets offensive game plans and starters.
Defensive Coordinator - Sets defensive game plans and starters.
Recruiting Scout - In charge of recruiting.
Opponent Scout - In charge of providing detailed info on each week's opponent.

There are also the following positional coaches. They'd work with/Make suggestions to other coaches. Example - If you see a hot recruit for your position, let the scout now, or if you thinkt he depth chart should be altered, let one of the coordinators know.

QB Coach
Receivers Coach
Backs Coach
Offensive Line Coach
Special Teams Coach
Defensive Line Coach
Linebackers Coach
Secondary Coach

After this, the last thing we need to decide is what the challenge will be. I have many ideas, so let me know what you think:

1) Ivy League Sol 8 Dynasty - Can only recruit players with a very high minimum GPA/SAT.
2) Montana Sol 8 Dynasty - Can only recruit players from Montana at first.
3) Ball State dynasty - Let's make Letterman proud.
4) Temple Dynasty - Make the Big East pay!

Sounds interesting... sign me up.

I can do any/all of:

Asst. HC, Offensive Coordinator, OL coach.

and if I had a choice, I'd go for the ivy league challenge.

Just a tip from a failed groupthink manager... :)

I would keep the number of participants fairly small (5 or less), or the responsibilities will be too small and you will spend a lot of time waiting on folks to respond.

Good luck! I look forward to seeing it.

Swaggs,

Thanks for the advice. That's pretty much how we got it set up, though. The individual positional coaches don't really have to provide anything. It's more of an advisory role for the other coaches. The only ones that have to give me info are the coordinators and the scouts.

If there are any positions still open, I'd be interested.
