Red Card Question

I had a player pick up a red card in the first leage game of the season. Is he able to play in tonights cup game? It let me insert him into the lineup but I just wanted to make sure.

I don't believe he can play.

He cannot play. If you leave him in the lineup he will be substituted for at the beginning of the game. If you have no subs you will play a man down.
