Due to an all-day shower, 3935 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at The Reign Arena. Reign started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Palomino - Easter, Wie-Soo, Merodio, Roberts - Royal, Ruiz, Hoff, Olivares - Baron, Shea.
robert started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Thomas - Arntjen, Longoria, Orzech - Koch, Kvarnhult, Christiansson, Danielsson, Karlen - Bojars, Tegby.
After 12 minutes, Björn Tegby managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 0 - 1. Ricky Royal made a superb strike at the goal in the 14:th minute with a long shot coming in from straight in front of the goal, but one of the visitors defenders got a foot in and warded it off to a corner. Juán Longoria behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 16:th minute as he gave the ball away to an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Reign´s Ricky Royal got himself booked. There wasn´t much opportunity for rapid movements this wet day, which hindered Juán Longoria in particular. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 35:th minute robert goal, making it 0 - 2. Zigi Bojars was noted down as the scorer. Halftime score was 0 - 2. robert held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.
Reigns Jeffrey Baron went wide in the 49:th minute, recieving a brilliant pass slicing through the visiting teams central defense line, putting the 1 - 2 goal away. After the ball got lifted in from the left Zigi Bojars was on his own in the home side´s penalty area 57 minutes into the game, and should have scored, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Björn Tegby could have put his team up another one in the 87:th minute, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. robert´s Jerry Christiansson made it through the home teams defence in the 87:th minute, and had only to place the ball in an unguarded goal when the home side´s defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line. robert held the ball, with a clear 74 percent possession rate.
Most important Reign player was Pablo Palomino. José Alejandro Ruiz on the other hand, had a terrible day. robert´s best player was Robert Arntjen. Björn Tegby on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 2.
Truck drivers have it better, that is all.
