I read that if you did well enough you could switch conferences from one with a low prestige to one with a higher prestige. I am curious, has anyone has seen this happen?

Yes, my created MAC team got an offer to replace Indiana in the Big 10.

I've had it happen a couple of times in both directions. I started a dynasty with a created school and simmed through the season (just doing recruiting myself). After a few years of winning seasons, I was offered a spot in the Pac Ten.
On a different dynasty I started with a created team rated as a D+ overall. I had them originate in the ACC. Well, a couple of losing seasons and they kicked me out! A few years later I improved my team enough so that the SEC offered me a spot.
I would say the SEC is quite an improvement over the ACC anyway. It's a very cool feature.

My created team was offered a spot in Conference USA after the first 2 years. I'm hoping to move into a better conference in a few more years. Does anyone know if you ever get offered to switch conferences that are basically at the same level? Like Big 12 to SEC or vice versa. I was also wondering if other teams switch conferences or is it just when your team is involved? I haven't seen this happen and don't care much if it does or not, but I was curious if it happens.

My created MAC team replaced Temple in the Big East. I was hoping to get an offer to join the Big Ten, but after waiting 5 or 6 years I took the first offer I recieved

I've had a created school go 12 years with winning records and even a BCS bid, and I've never been invited into a conference. :(

I was doing a Notre Dame dynasty(don't ask why, cause I don't even know) and Conference USA offered me a spot, ya right! It's either Big Ten or nothing, and once I get to the Big Ten, it becomes an anti-dynasty:D

My independent created school has gone 18 seasons, the last 6 being in the national spotlight, with 4 13-0 records. 1 National Championship. I just can't get into a BCS Bowl because I'm an independent. No one has even offered.

My created team was in the WAC and after 9 seasons I was invited to join the B12 to replace Baylor.

I'm doing several dynastys, two on my own and three with friends. My main solo one (I sim games) I started as a ** prestige independant and went 12 years and 5 national championships before being invited into the Big East. With my friends (we play all games) that same school was invited into the ACC after two years. My other dynastys haven't gotten very far and haven't gotten any offers.
From what I read at the EA boards you will not get an offer to join a conference if you are already in a high prestige conference. I haven't heard of anyone seeing a team that isn't controlled by a player changing conferences.

I'm playing as Hawaii in the WAC. After my first year I got invited to join the PAC-10 in place of Arizona. Not a big thing but a little annoying, when I play the games I still have the WAC patch on my player's jerseys.

I'm still waiting for my damn roster card to get here (I'm really getting pissed, anybody know how to deal with this in a few days with ebay/paypal if this doesn't get settled?), so I haven't started my dynasty.
However, in my friend's dynasty, one of them is Montana who replaced Troy State (Independent) and went 11-2 with Craig Ochs and company, beating K-State, Nebraska...only losing to UAB and FSU in the Tangerine Bowl. He was offered into the MWC for Wyoming after his first year (which makes it interesting as another friend is Colorado State in the same dyansty).

Just as an update, I finally won a national championship, and low and behold I finally got an offer. C-USA offered me UAB's position. I laughed as I declined.
