I'm coming to the game late so I apologize in advance.

I noticed the option to start the next fully rested pitcher (Thanks to SkyDog) but it automatically went to the fifth starter anyway. My number one starter was listed as OK (available) so I'm not sure what the problem was. I could have manually selected my #1 but the computer team went with their number 5 as well so I didn't want to take advantage.

Was it because he was only on 3 days rest?

Yeah, 'OK' and 'fully rested' aren't the same thing. He might be okay to pitch, but if he's gone in the last five days, it's not going to skip the #5.

Now, if your rotation has gone 1-2-3-4-off, then it's gonna skip the #5 because the #1 will be working on normal rest.

That's how I understand it, anyway.

Sackattack is correct. (if you are using modern era). The #1 pitcher will start and skip your 5th starter if you had an off day in there. With no off day, it will not skip.

I don't have the game yet, but is it possible to set a 4-man rotationin OOTP5?

Yes, and even a 3 man rotation if you like historical leagues, or want to use one in the playoffs...

Some people even have been rumored to use a one man rotation.. but I don't know why anyone would want to do that. :) (This last part is a joke comment. The game supports 3 man, 4 man and 5 man rotations.)

Cool....

Of course, I am starting my Quixotic attempt to replay the 2002 season in the original MicroLeague Baseball using a C64 emulator, so I might be tied up for a bit. But I should get around to buying OOTP sometime :)

That would be your stretch run for Berlin, Alan:D

Heck Berlin used a 3 man rotation i think the entire season other than the first few weeks. :) Nice seeing two pitchers with more than 400 IP in a season :) Oh the humanity...
