Verdict on TCY-to-FOF4?

I know that the last patch of FOF4 pledged to improve the ability to import players from TCY into the game. I'm wondering who out there has given this a shot, and what are your impressions?

Has the overall quality of TCY players been reduced sufficiently to make the game (used this way) challenging again?

An other changes evident? Anything with booms and busts?

I asked SkyDog a similar question in his Texans dynasty...here was his response

ABsolutely. The talent level is a LOT lower with imported classes than it was. (If you recall, the talent level was much higher than in game-generated draft classes.) I think they're about the same now. Couple that with the fact that the AI does a tremendously better job of drafting, and the draft is much less of a slam dunk for getting new talent.

I haven't had a chance to look at it myself, but it sounds like it's much improved.

I didn't do much with TCY to FOF imports before the latest patches, but I'm playing both games concurrently right now and I have to say that the talent level seems to be on the money. It varies from season to season, but in general, there are very few sure-fire stars available in a given draft....and while you may be able to find a player in the lower rounds, their chances for making it in the league are small. To me, it feels like real life.

I'm in my fifth year now and I've have a draft where every player I chose turned out to be nothing more than a career backup...but I've also had a draft where the 1st round RB I selected (around 20th) was an immediate starter for me (scout rating ~50). Basically, I've had no complaints in terms of the talent level. As for boom and bust, I have no idea. I never looked for any indicators before, so I don't look for that edge now, either.

If Marc doesn't manage to restore Lincoln CM4 dynasty, that TCY/FOF dynasty would be interseting to read (as usual).

I dunno... right now, I'm sort of craving something different. Maybe Australian rules football is the ticket for me, eh?

Plus, I have a horse racing sim sitting around that didn't "click" with me in the first hour or so of playing... maybe that would be worth some more effort?

I'm JUST starting a TCY - Georgia Tech/FOF4 - Atlanta Falcons career. In the first draft imported into FOF4, the overall level of talent did seem to be somewhat less than pre-patch. I had about a 15 year career pre-patch, so I think I'm a pretty good judge. I'll try to remember to bump this thread with an update after I've run through a few seasons.
