*Ajax, it's to your benefit to help me out here too!*

Anyways, I play The Crasy Bastards(71695) next week, and scouting them, they seem tough, just looking at their stats. Then I dug deeper.

He is playing a 3-5-2 with the Wingers playing towards the middle. Does this help him get that passable MF rating?

Now if that is the case, wouldn't I want to attack the wings? Thats where he appears the weakest.

He has 2 Star WB's, and 3 Star CD's plus that 3.5 star keeper.

I think I can work him on the wings. But I need some advice. I run the 3-4-3 due to me training FW's but I can run the 3-5-2 if I need to.

What do you all think? Oh and I may MOTS this.

3-4-3 would work, it'll give you one side attack and a strong central. try to guestimate which side he pulls his CD-XIM from and attack that side, the central attack will also break down his center since he only uses 1 CD.

and yes his wingers TM make his MF passable.

Yes, the wingers towards the middle is getting him that passable midifield. My midfield dropped a level this season when I went for a more offensive approach on the wing instead of towards the middle. What are his and your last ratings?

Mine sucked, but because I was doing the Run and Shoot against a horrible opponent. I know with the Defenders I have and the keeper, I can get better defensive ratings.

Krondor Lancers
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: poor
Right Side Defence: inadequate
Central Defence: weak
Left Side Defence: inadequate
Right Side Attack: weak
Central Attack: solid
Left Side Attack: solid

and his

The Crazy Bastards FC
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: passable
Right Side Defence: excellent
Central Defence: formidable
Left Side Defence: excellent
Right Side Attack: poor
Central Attack: inadequate
Left Side Attack: weak

He pulls his XIM from the forward spot. So I am playing against the 4-5-1 (My bad for saying 3-5-2)

eww. he's got you by quite a few levels there. personally, if you win, it'll be one hell of an upset. but I think your best chance, is
3-4-3 with you lone winger TM to try to catch his MF.

if I desperately wanted to give my all to win that, I'd:

both WB defensively
CD maybe even offensive since his attack blows.
3 IM atleast 1 offensively, preferably 2 offensive
1 winger (can use a middie) towards middle
3 strikers with best 2 as left/right, worst as extra

his D is pretty much same (formidable isn't 'much' better than excellent) so If you want to win, throw all you've got down his throat. if he tries to help MF even more with an offensive CD, this'll help your attack down his throat.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the win though.

I definately would NOT give up a week of training in hopes of winning this game, you're at a big disadvantage and would likely get nothing in return for the loss of training.

however, I think 3-4-3 IS and will ALWAYS be the best formation against defensive teams (4-5-1, 5-4-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 5-3-2)
