looks like I have 2 weeks if I things don't change. my main question is how mayn economists should I hire. I can work around selling some players and i have a couple leage home games so it's not as bleak as it seams so any ideas?

I remember seeing something about economists and the their effect based on how much debt you were in. I just found it, it was in Hattricks, http://www.databased.at/hattrick/index.asp
I seem to remember reading somewhere else that you should never have more than 3 economists, that they just didn't help all that much, but I don't honestly remember where I saw that or the rationale. I do know that Hattricks has an "Econoy Calculator" so you can figure out how many to hire....
Just remember, if you hire more, that maens more salary you have to pay, making your money go all that much faster....

fire 7 spokepersons. Hire two econmists. Cut the youth program to 10k unless you are already at solid. In the future fire 1 or 2 keeper coaches and hire 1 or 2 assistant coaches (3 is too much for a non keeper training team).
Place someone up for sale. You team wages are very high, how big is your team?

I have 32 with 4 temp players.( on the block now)

08-18-2003, 03:40 PM
Do you really need more then 22?
I only have 19, including the coach. If you are one of those people that wants to have a full B team then you could do with 22. If you got rid of 10 guy that would be 5k you'd save per week, at a minimum

I'd offload 14 or even 16 of those players. What division are you in?
32??
That's like an A, B and C squad!
I'd definitely sell about 10 guys. If you can get enough for them, you might not even need to hire any economists.

Looking right off the bat, it appears you have about 6 keepers (players that have Keeper skill greater than wretched). You can probalby offload 4-5 of them (4 if you want to have a reserve keeper, 5 if you don't care).
I didn't go into detail on the rest of your squad, I'll try to look tonight after my dinner.

Ok I've gone thru your entire roster. You can take my suggestions with a grain of salt, I didn't do the most thorough evaluation of your players, just looked at primary skills, supporting secondaries, and really looked for skills that were inadequate or above.
First off, you have 6 keepers. I'd get rid of 3 or 4 of them.
Certainly you can transfer market:
Kampen
Diaconu
Menotti
If you wanted one more, you could also transfer market: Vukovic
As for field players, these seemed to offer the least in terms of secondary skills:
Philip Cavanaugh
Agostino Romero
Clair Chung
Abel Parra
Kent Magnusson
Leif Kraus
So there are 9 or 10 players (depending on how you feel about having a 3rd GK) that you could probably easily relieve of their duties on your team, hopefully saving yourself some money (getting rid of some of your GK's, most of which are valued at over 100k will DEFINITELY help). Try transfer marketing all of your players, they may not sell, but it's worth giving it a shot before just firing them. Also, put your players out so that they expire right around league match time on Sunday (early Monday HT time), as that tends to be one of the primo times for people to look for recruits...
Good luck!!!

The exception being the 3 goalkeeping coach part, I've had to move to the 3-7 ratio to keep my keeper in decent form - some people have had success with just 1 or 2, a lot of it will depend on how your starting keeper reacts to it.
Just because you CAN have 10 staffer at particular spots and some of the better off teams does, doesn't mean you HAVE to. When you're in the process of building up, consider ramping up the staff slowly. Having 3-5 spokesperson will do you well AND keep your financial situation more stable. Consider having 3, if your team is doing well, and only ramping up to 5, if your team is struggling and you need to keep Sponsors happy. Same thing with Sports Psychologist and having about 1-3 of them. Your team will train fastest with 10 coaches but you could slow it down a little and still have success with, say, 7 and not put yourself too deep into the poor house. Consider having 1-3 Physiotherapists on hand and setting training to as high as your can (97-100). As Kevin said, having 2-3 economists on hand to keep your interest payment down when your debt is above the dreaded 200 000 mark. Otherwise, 1 will do you just fine. Also, as Kevin said, if your Youth Program is still below solid, cut spending down to 10 000 (middle level) for now. At that spending level, it will cap you at Passable Youth Program. Annoying? Yes. But your team won't go away so quick. Once you get your econimics back in gear and pushes it back to 20 000 (maximium level), it will quickly jump to Solid and you can keep advancing then.
Slow but steady. DK's team is a good model for that. If you haven't already, you might consider checking out his dynasty.
