There's this new team in my league. The guy just took over a cheater that got booted out. Anyway, I kind of watched his match tonight and saw that he got kicked in the in the ass pretty hard. Was 4-0 at the half and the other team had 86% possession.

I see the final score, 5-0, not bad, only one more goal, but second half possession is 94% for the other team.

I look at his ratings, while still being on IRC and everything...
Surrey Tribe
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: disastrous
Right Side Defence: solid
Central Defence: formidable
Left Side Defence: solid
Right Side Attack: poor
Central Attack: inadequate
Left Side Attack: passable

At first glance, I'm impressed by the defensive ratings. Darn! solid/formidable/solid is quite amazing for a team's first match EVER!!!

I just took a good look at his game report and saw that he played a 5-2-3, with not even two inner mids, but one inner mid and one winger played offensive.

His opponent plays 3-4-3 and usually has a fairly low midfield, confirmed by his ratings, where he got only a weak midfield.

Too bad, I don't know if anybody is helping out this dude, I hope not, but he had already bought a few players and seemed well started for a newbie... :)

I guess he's planning on being defensive and offensive. This is all good, but you have to have a midfield to be competitive.

When I started, I knew nothing about soccer and less about hattrick. I figured that you needed people to score and people to keep the other team from scoring. Midfield seemed like the least important. Probably what this guy thinks.
