All I get now when I try to watch a match is "You must be logged in to view matches" or some such silliness. It worked fine until this last week, but now no dice. I removed everything, installed version 3.1 from the spanish language side, since I got errors from the english side, and now I have the new version, with the same result.

anyone have an idea?

I had the same problem with both Criollo and HAM - I don't know about fixing the former, but with the latter I changed the address from "www.hattrick.org" to one of the IP addresses Hattrick uses and it worked like a charm.

Also, the HT devs have asked folks not to use Criollo "unnecessarily." From the System Information page:

The site is currently rather slow, especially at peak hours and match days (of course), but also on other times. The reason is because our web servers are too busy. We are aware of the problem and are currently working hard trying to optimize the code to lessen the load. More hardware has been ordered and as soon as it arrives, the situation will improve a lot. Hopefully it will be up and installed no later than mid September. As always, we would like to remind you that illegal scanning of the site is forbidden, and we would also like to humbly request that in the mean time you all show restraint in using external match viewers unnecessarily. Match Viewers are by far our single worst cause for excessive web server load. What we mean by "showing restraint" is not that you can't use it, just that you make sure you don't leave it unattended with loads of matches running that you don't really care about.

download the latest version of the viewer from its website. Reinstall it, and it should work...

Edit: I meant, redownload it. They have uploaded a new 3.1 version, same name, but better. Happened to me last Sunday.

Go to File -> Options, and in the bottom-left drop down box select 195.149.159.155 as the IP to log on to. That should take care of the problem. If it doesn't, try all of the other IPs.

I still have the same problem, even if I switch with 3.1 installed.

Now, I have absolutely no knowledge to offer on that one.....can I assume you've tried the standard Microsoft Support tactic of R-E-B-O-O-T? Maybe turning off your antivirus if you've got one running, although I wouldn't think that would cause a conflict.

The Internal Server Error is usually when Criollo can't get into Hattrick, like when the server is too busy after the game. The "Not Logged In" message the one where changing the server helps.
