Sorry it took so long guys, but here you have the brackets. Round 1 games are this next wednesday (September 3rd), so get the games scheduled ASAP. If the game is not scheduled by Monday night at 9 PM EST, you forfeit and the team that tried to schedule the game moves on in the cup. The team with the LOWER NUMBER (that is BETTER) seed is the home team. Cup Rules Apply! If for some random reason someone doesn't do Cup rules, we could get ties...in that case the team with better possession will move on.

Ok...I'm sorry that some people have already accepted friendlies, but the cup is going to be all thrown out of whack if we decide to move it back. If those people who have already accepted their round 1 matches don't mind playing people two weeks straight (and that needs to be a unanimous decision), we can move the cup back one week. As SI graciously pointed out to me, this cup will only take 6 weeks, so we aren't necessarily pressed for time. But that is completely up to the people who have already accepted friendlies for the FOFC Cup.

Ok, I see some people have already done so, and that's great. If you could please post results of already played matches for round 1 in this thread, that would help out a ton. For anyone interested, my Vandals pulled out our first ever FOFC Cup elimination round win with a 2-0 upset of Doug's Cyclones. Even though his 5-4-1 put up a World Class and Magnificent along the defensive front, my guys were able to sneak a few by.

Anyone who hasn't yet played their round 1 match must have it booked by Monday, or they forfeit. There will be no further delays, so hopefully there won't be any forfeits.

After round 1, two #2 seeds have toppled already, and both Superman=#54 and myself look to tough matches against respective Cinderella teams as The Afoci and DukeRulesMAB both take their 10 seeds into the second round. The HFP Bracket seems to dislike upsets, and, barring a 9 over 8 'upset' from the Misfitz/Drunkards match, will have only seeds 1-8 remaining.

All the #1 seeds remain, and even if lytic knocks off PilotMan, you can't really consider his SouthPark Cows a 16 seed. Who will make the Final Four? Big time names in the FOFC HT world still remain...the Hippos, both Avengers, the Raiders...even the Crawfish with Laser Blasters are still around. It was obvious that Trickers were using pressing as their primary tactic. Trickers had a weak ability to press their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times.

I don't know what skills are required for pressing (I supposed stamina as suggested in th HT Conferences). My 3 defenders have excellent stamina. Though, true that only 2 of my middies have passable stamina, the rest is even worse as they are only trainees. Forwards had passable & weak stamina. So I am assuming, the only place you need stamina is definitely not defnese but midfield !

It's been booked for awhile, but I figured I'd add some perspective. This should be a very good game, as I'm expecting both teams to toss up NSI's >65. My defense won't be nearly as good as the A-Team, with my 7-figure GK sitting (I train GK's), but the midfield and offense should be as good or better than my A-Team this week, as I will be normal instead of PIC and playing some new players.

I predict the winner of this game will advance to the Final 4, as Bees is playing the A-Team this week and will have to play them in league play next week.

As for the winner of the game itself, if I end up buying a ***~ IM before Wednesday I think I pull it out, if I don't I'm leaning towards the Misfitz.
