I'm selling one of my trainees who just popped to excellent. He covered his initial bid of 700,000, at which point I commenced my hunt for an upgrade.

Upgrade was found, in the form of a true offensive central defender for 500,000. 25 year old Excellent PM/Solid D.

Player was bought.

Only trouble is, since my trainee doesn't go through until after the econ update, I'll have only 5 logins for the week, when the system officially calculates my new cash.

Damn this is gonna be tough to not login to HT except when absolutely necessary. :)

Nice buy btw. What kind of stamina does the new guy have? No don't go look if you don't remember!!! :p

Just remember that HAM, Criollo etc all count as logins. (Criollo would be particularly bad)

Excellent stamina as well. I knew this situation was gonna happen, but I simply could not pass him up. The only way he coulda been a better fit is if he was an american. Thus, I'll bite the bullet and stay logged out for awhile, in exchange for quickly picking up the player I wanted, and still getting at least 100k plus in profit.

I'm lost, do the amount of logins play any role in this game?

If you're in debt by more than US$ 500 000, you have 5 logins to correct that or you are a "former manager".

These are the kind of facts that only those of us who lives on the red-side of the accounting book have to be aware of. :D

Ahhhh hehehehehe I try not to play with the red numbers :)

How do you build up a temporary debt that big with a bid when you get capped at -$200 000?

Easy. Have a player you are selling with a bid already.

it's all good, you have to be in HARD DEBT to have the 5 login thing...

Or buy a 500,000 dollar player while hovering around $0 and not get your sales money until after the economy update. :)

The computer isn't stupid... your projected money is calculated in your debt. Sure you may drop below $500k at the update, but your soft money is showing above -$200k.

You'll be okay... ask apoc if you don't believe me.

You sure about that one? I thought it was flagged at whatever your hard money was for the week.

(Guess we'll find out after econ hits and my boy sells.)

Yeah CW, you are right. The money you get from the player you are selling isn't officially counted until the next economy update. If you have a capable browser you could log in once and set it to autorefresh so you don't time out.

I've seen this happen to a bunch of people though.

I had that problem and I was over the $500k limit in like my 1st or 2nd season (apoc helped me out of it). I had soft money coming to me and I didn't see anything about 5 logins.
I did have a bid on the guy, so if you don't have a bid on your guy that may be the difference. Also, I was that far into debt due to interest on my debt with a staff and youth squad money. I didn't get into debt buy buying a player off of credit. So the situation is a bit different, I guess.
Let us know... for your situation TP may be right.
