View Full Version : HT is against me

Ok, now I am really starting to think that HT is really against me doing well this season.
I've been cutting back on the amount of players that I carry on my team to help reduce debt, but in this week alone, I've lost all four of my defenders to injuries.
2 were in the series game, one for +2 and other for +3, both now at +2 (my #2 & 4 defenders).
last 2 were in my friendly game, one for +1, other for +3. (#1 & 3 defenders). Not to mention, the guy at +3 just came off a +3 injury.
I mean I lost all 4 of my defenders in one week! The only other players I have to play D are weak defending at best. This season I currently sit at 2nd place based on goal differential. Am I not meant to finish 2nd???

Ow. That blows.

Can you afford to bring your doctoring crew up to 10? That may cut down on the amount of time some. Although, I don't think any will be back in time for Sunday.

Maybe a few emergency buys, just to keep you afloat?

You should be able to snag some inad/inad wingbacks and a passable center d to plug the holes for this week. It'll set you back ~20K if you're frugal, but that's not too bad.

Heck, you may even decide to keep one or two on as injury backups to play in friendlies. That's how I got my current team leader- I wanted someone who could play as a team leader and set pieces ace for my second team during the FOFC Cup last season (none of my second team guys had good experience being as they were mostly trainees). I snag a 28yo passable defender with weak experience and solid set pieces for under $10K and now he starts for me because experience gave him a nice little boost.

I upped the doctors that I have on staff, not quite 10 though. As far as emergency buys, I don't have the scratch to buy any. But one good thing happened. My #2 defender dropped to +1. So now I have 2 guys at +1, one at +2 and one at +3.

How many physiotherapists do you have and what is your training %. The rule of thumb is that you should carry as many physios as you are over 90% training. Therefore, if you have 95% training, you should have 5 physios on staff to reduce the chance of injuries. Injuries still happen, it is an inevitability, but 4 in one week seems a little high.

I am training at 99% and have 5 physios

with 5 physio, you shouldn't be training more than 95%, imho. TP will disagree...

Go for the legs! Go for the legs! J/K :)

Yeah, if you want to train at 99%, I would recommend staffing up to 9 physios. Injuries are greatly reduce.

This season I've had 2 injuries (one was a injured but still playing after one day and the other was 2 weeks). I've trained 100% all season with 4 physios.

I'm training 100% with 3 physios and 2 doctors on at all time. No big injuries since I started this training regimen. I had a +3 this week, but he was down to "+1, injured but training" before the training update.

Had 2 injuries for 4 weeks when I was at 93% with 3 physios, so I'd say it's pretty much random...

Better safe then sorry If you have the money. I can't afford 10. That is an insane amount of money a week to me.

I've always trained at 100% regardless of physios. The 1% rule has nothing to back it up. Each additional physio has less of an effect than the last. So assuming that each 1% you add to the total training increases the chance on injury uniformly, how would that rule hold any water?

Besides, I've had more injuries this season with 10 physios than I ever have. Even more than when I only had three (for three seasons).

I have also been at 100% training and only 1 physio. Lately, just the same player(s) keep getting injured, but they are not that long, so honestly, I don't care.

I too am in the 4 physio/2 doc boat training at 100%.

We are talking about a game here. Not real life.

No, no, 4 physiso / 2 docs is really in Hattrick. Real life is more like 4 physios / 4 docs / 2 orthopedic surgeons...

::sigh::
Real life is 4 physios/6 docs (regular, woman's doc, orthopods 1-3, ENT)/ 3 orthopaedic surgeons.

P.S. I still think the *HT* injury and healing thing is more or less mostly luck. Now that I've said that, my squad is doomed to be plagued by injuries...what can I say, they take after their manager... :D

Injuries are more or less luck, but healing is pretty static.

All the tax payers are paying for my doctors... so thanks for your support!

I think Kristin and I are related somehow.

Flag football starts on the frozen tundra of Fargo in two weeks. We lost one of our WR's to a horrible CO-ED Softball injury tripping over his feet between second and third. He tore his hamstring, ankle injuries and a seperated shoulder.

lytic-weren't you the one with a torn achille's tendon? What month did you have your repair that your doc let you play flag football already?!?! And if it was when I think it was, who is your doc, mine's not letting me do any running until March at a minimum. If you were 2 years younger than me, I'd wonder if you were my brother (his ID bracelet was switched at the hospital and for awhile he was "Little Boy Levine"--my last name isn't Levine...).....

I am fast healer, but I guess I am a fast breaker as well.
I ruptured my Achilles 21 April. I do physical therapy every week day. I was taken off profile 2 weeks ago and was told to ease into sports and activities. This break wasn't even during the game. It was during warm-ups!
